What is wakanda Jobs?
Wakanda Jobs is a listserv specifically and intentionally comprised of career-diverse, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) candidates from across the country. The goal is to connect high-achieving BIPOC professionals to an array of competitive and engaging jobs.
Employers, recruiters, search firms, and other for-profit entities are required to share salary information as part of any job posting. For context, the wage gap between white men and Black employees has not made any progress since 2000. The gap only widens when you include additional axises of identity, including gender and gender identity, and sexual orientation. Salary transparency is an incremental, but important step, to address compensation inequities that women, BIPOC, and those living at the intersections, face. If you are interested in joining Wakanda Jobs as a candidate, please sign up here.
To post any position to this group, there is a flat fee of $120 per role. The cost is part of a small, but meaningful investment that employers who are committed to sourcing the best, most diverse workforce, will commit to making.
